Questions & answers

Before you buy

Everything homeowners ask about installing and sizing a MRCOOL system.

Talk to a certified pro →

Does this need professional installation?

Yes. This equipment requires refrigerant line work, evacuation and charge verification, so it should be installed by a licensed HVAC technician. EPA 608 certification is required to handle refrigerant.

What size do I need?

Sizing depends on square footage, insulation, climate and duct design, so a load calculation is the reliable way to choose. The rated capacity for this model is in the specifications, and our team can help you confirm the match.

Does installation affect the warranty?

Register the system after installation to activate the factory warranty. Improper installation is a common reason claims get denied, which is one more reason to use a licensed technician.

What else do I need to complete the system?

Most split systems need a matched indoor or outdoor unit, a line set and a compatible thermostat or controller. Check the specifications here, and contact us if you want the pairing confirmed before you order.
