The system comes with a 25-foot Quick Connect® line set, pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant, which means there’s no need to vacuum the lines. This makes the installation process faster, safer, and more affordable.

You’ll enjoy flexible control options, including a handheld remote, the SmartHVAC app for iOS and Android, and compatibility with voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Can I DIY the install?

Yes. MRCOOL DIY systems ship with pre-charged QuickConnect line sets, so there is no refrigerant handling, no vacuum pump and no special tools. The MRCOOL app walks you through each step, and most homeowners finish a single-zone install in an afternoon.

What tools do I need?

A drill with a hole saw, a level, two wrenches and basic hand tools. The line set connects by hand and tightens with wrenches, and the mounting hardware is included.

Is a permit required?

Rules vary by county. Many areas allow a homeowner install with a simple permit, though the dedicated electrical circuit often needs a licensed electrician. Check your local code before you start.

What size do I need?
